In the third quarter of 2025, the top news and magazine applications on the Android platform in Norway demonstrated diverse usage and download patterns, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Politiloggen saw a varied trend in weekly downloads, peaking at roughly 2.2K in mid-July, then fluctuating towards the end of the quarter. Its weekly active users started at 26.9K, dipping to 19.2K in August before climbing back to 24.3K by the end of September.

VG experienced consistent growth in weekly downloads, starting at 608 and reaching a high of 1.9K by the last week of September. Active users also increased, starting from 40.4K and peaking at over 51.5K at the end of the quarter.

Dagbladet showed a decline in weekly downloads towards the end of the quarter, starting from 932 and dropping to 290. However, active users saw a slight increase from 20.3K to 21.2K in early September before stabilizing around 19.6K.

X managed to generate revenue, reaching a high of approximately $4K in early August. Downloads varied, with a notable increase to 1.3K in early September. Active users fluctuated but remained strong, ending the quarter at 57.1K.

Finally, NRK maintained steady weekly downloads, with a peak of 698 in early September. Active user numbers rose from 36.3K to a high of 45K in September.
